Toonami is Pwned (Smacked Down)!
It seems like Toonami, or childhood anime and cartoon network, has finally been shut down *super duper sad face.* What a downer....Toonami was, and still is, the shit, even though they removed nearly every single decent anime, Inuyasha, Gundam Wing, Yu Yu Hakusho, on their channels and schedule blocks. Some people are apathetic and don't seem to care that much, a few of them are actually happy about this news, but personally, Toonami has been an influential aspect of western adaptation to Japanese animation and manga. Adult Swim isn't that reliable when it comes to introducing appropriate anime to the public. Even though they have put out a couple of adequate series, but the majority of them sucked something rancid.
Anime Forum
There's a couple of nice people here on Anime Forum that I was recommended to by Vampire_Ichigo, a friendly buddy I met on another anime forum. This forum, community and feature-wise, is by far more competent than the other one, though the visuals required some time to become accustomed to. The community is friendly, hospitable, and warm. On the first day I introduced myself, I had formed an approximate twenty friendships with various members of the forums. This is the first forum I have seen that allowed so much custom options available to the users. There isn't just a reputation meter which shows your 'respectfulness' meter as a member of the society, but a lot more features. Points can be earned with posts and then spent to buy gifts or ribbons for other members, even more custom options for an individual's user profile. It looks like I'll be having some fun here for a while ^_^.
